The traditional journey of our ghee

Every jar of Shivaanandam ghee passes through four unhurried steps. Nothing is rushed, nothing is machine-separated.

  1. 1

    Milking with care

A2 desi cows are milked by hand, honouring ancient Ayurvedic traditions for purity and authenticity.

  2. 2

    Heating milk and preparing curd

We heat A2 milk in a clay pot, add curd culture, and let it ferment slowly into rich curd.

  3. 3

    Traditionally wood churned

The curd is churned with a wooden bilona, extracting rich and wholesome white butter.

  4. 4

    Slow cooked on wood fire

The butter simmers gently over a wood fire until golden ghee separates, grain by grain.

FAQ's

A2 ghee is made only from the milk of indigenous desi cows that produce A2 beta-casein protein, which is gentler on digestion than the A1 protein found in commercial hybrid-cow milk.
